The website was started in September 2013 as a personal initiative by two Polish friends, Lukasz Gieranczyk and Jarek Piasecki. During one of their trips to Brazil, the partners, who had previous experience in travel and e-commerce, recognized the potential of the online bus ticket market and decided to invest their own savings in the firm.
